Privacy notice

We count visits and recording plays and downloads to see which parts of the archive are useful.

Analytics stores anonymous totals by public page, recording or track and day. It does not store IP addresses, browser details, names, email addresses, visitor identifiers or individual browsing histories. We do not use tracking cookies or fingerprint visitors. Page counts are automatically deleted after 365 days. Aggregate play and download totals are retained for the archive and cannot identify listeners. Do Not Track is respected for page views.

Analytics is on unless you switch it off below. If you do, a small cookie remembers that choice in this browser and stops its page views, plays and downloads being counted. The cookie stores only your choice. You can turn analytics back on here. This setting applies to this browser only.

If you use the contact form, we store your message, the time it was received, and your name and email address if you provide them, so we can read and respond to your enquiry. Messages are kept in the site’s management inbox, including when archived. We do not store your IP address or browser details with the message. We use IP addresses temporarily in memory to limit abuse of the form.

The inbox retention period is configurable: messages are normally deleted after six months, but may be kept for a shorter or longer configured period, or until manually deleted. You can ask us to delete your message by emailing [email protected].

If contact notifications are enabled, the configured push notification provider receives the sender’s name (if provided) and may also receive the beginning of the message. Your email address is not included in the notification.
