Hows it goin
Hope the live shows have been as good for you as they were for us.I'm really proud of how well the shows went considering they were split between new and old stuff. It was good to meet some of you again, the lengths that some people go to to see us always leaves me speechless.
It's funny being in a band. The music you made can sometimes define you.I'd rather the music we make define us. One thing i learned last year was that this band is a Rock n Roll band. My take on what rock n roll is comes from a different time than some peoples, maybe. We've made a record that nobody else right now could have made and we did it without anybody else's help.
Some people need to get it straight. Producers don't want bands running off and producing their own records,it puts them out of a job. Then they panic and try and convince you that you've done a bad job. Then you hear what you could've had had you believed them and it makes you even more proud of what you've done. Someone recently said that writing pop songs is really difficult, he's obviously writing the wrong kind of songs. If ours take more than 15 minutes then no one gets to hear them. Rock n roll was never meant to be difficult.
You guys have got really great ears for these things. You can tell the difference between someone's idea of rock n roll and the real thing. The reaction to Milk and Money live has shown me that i don't give you enough credit, thank you. Not be long now till the albums out and i might make a bit more sense.
Mon yous mon us but not them
