Hows it goin
Just wanted to say thanks for all the positive comments since Mabel was played. I guess it's always weird to hear a new song from a band that you're really into,unless that band has no ambition there's always gonna be a change somewhere. We're really a different band than the one who recorded Costello Music but we still have the same standards. We'll never settle for bland,beige or bollocks. You guys have got great ears and even if it passes you by first time it'll make sense pretty quickly. Using the name Mabel was just a bit of a homage to George Harrison who wrote the song Badge that Cream played,have a listen!
This week i was able to listen to the album all the way through for fun for the first time.I got totally the same feeling as i did with the last one. When you argue over what songs go on an album it means you've got too many good songs. I get that sometimes it can take a few listens to get something,i didn't get why Dark side of the moon was such a big deal straight away,took me a few listens,now i never leave the house without it!
Dying to get playing again,haven't lost my voice this time around so we'll be able to give a better account of the new songs. Have a good one at the shows if you're going, we're sounding pretty exciting!
